How to Edit Revel Forms Videos with Transitions and Logic Jumps

Let’s talk Revel Forms transitions.

So, you're making an interactive video but aren’t quite sure how to structure your video editing project. Whether you’re using Premiere, iMovie, or something else — we can help.

🎥 Hi, I’m Kyle, founder of Revel Forms.

Our team works closely with production companies and agencies to:

  • Deliver lead-gen video for clients
  • Simplify your workflow in the production phase

We’ve already covered the Revel Playbook: scheduling a host, adding expert interviews, and shooting silky-smooth B-roll.

The Goal

Help your client solve the dual audience problem.

Instead of creating a one-size-fits-nobody video, you're building a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure experience — guiding website visitors through the final mile of their customer journey.

Editing: Where to Begin

Let’s say your footage is shot and organized. Now it’s time to edit.

Meet Henry, one of our top editors at Revel Forms. He’ll walk you through the process using Premiere Pro, but these tactics are platform-agnostic — they apply no matter what editing software you use.

Host Transition Setup

  1. Drop your project into Premiere Pro
  2. Have the script and Revel Forms Playbook handy
  3. Begin with the host section:
    • Start with a simple logo reveal
    • Introduce the host and the company (e.g., real estate brokerage)
    • End the host segment with three options:
      • Buying real estate
      • Selling real estate
      • Buying or selling commercial real estate
  4. Add a simple visual transition into the first question
    • Example: blurred background
    • Duration: 15 seconds minimum

🕒 The question appears here and will pause automatically if the viewer doesn’t respond.

Question Transition (Critical Step)

This is key to making Revel Forms work.

  1. Use a transition that includes at least one full-screen frame
  2. This frame becomes the jump point where we time the video to move based on viewer choice
  3. Viewers might jump to minute 3 or minute 5 — that single frame ensures smooth continuity

✅ We provide customizable transition templates (brand-matching, angular for healthcare, organic for informal brands, etc.)

First Expert Transition

For example: your first expert speaks on first-time home buying.

  1. Drop the expert interview after question one
  2. Ask follow-up questions like:
    • “What excites you about buying a home?”
    • “Describe your goals — what does success look like on closing day?”
  3. Add a 15–30 second video segment as a background for the question
    • Longer for open-ended responses
    • Motion + music helps engagement
  4. End with another full-frame transition for logic jumping

Finishing Transitions

Repeat the process for all experts:

  • Host → Expert 1 → Expert 2 → Expert 3 → Host again

Use the final host clip to:

  • Say: “Now that you know a bit more about us, we’d love to know a bit more about you.”
  • Ask for contact info in exchange for value (e.g., a call, PDF guide, etc.)

End with a final end screen:

  • Suggest additional videos or guides
  • Let uninterested users exit
  • Let curious users dig deeper

Developing Your Revel Form

Once editing is complete and client-approved:

📩 Send your video to our development team at production@revelforms.com

We'll take care of:

  • Logic jumps based on viewer input
  • Connecting timestamps to specific frames

For each interactive point, we need:

  • Which button/response jumps to which timestamp
  • Each full-screen transition frame to act as the jump-in point

We’re Here to Help

Yes — it can feel complex at first.

But we’re here to help guide you through:

  • Screenshare support
  • Example files
  • Rapid responses

Once you get the Playbook rhythm, each video takes half the time.

  • Video 2: 50% faster
  • Video 3: even easier
  • Soon, you're rolling with the Revel Forms system like a pro

Looking forward to working with you — have a great day!
